so im having trouble auditioning samples full stop. guessing its a bug. anyone else having this issue?

I'm in logic 9, mountain lion.

EDIT: so it turns out i can audition in the browser or by clicking the pads at the bottom of the plugin, but they only work while playback is on. as soon as the project is stopped they dont work. ugh.

Native plug-ins > Dynamics > Trigger 2

I really don't mind the look of the browsing...but i do think that trigger one browsing looked better. But...Trigger 2 loads samples much faster.

^Why not group by category and manufacture? This give you the best of both worlds. Also if you hold the CTRL key when clicking a plug it puts it in the favourites list above all the other plugs. This is where my trigger lives.

wish they'd used the same kind of look as the VBC/VTM etc. new functionality looks good. kind of annoying having to keep both the trigger 1 samples (for old project compatibility) and the new set.

Other TCIs are working fine. I suppose it's just a matter of license.

Yeah just the "stock" slate samples that need new versions. Expansion packs and user made TCI's and PRS's are fine.

Got booted out of the gearslutz thread for writing pretty much what I did in this thread. Suppose calling it ugly is OTT over there.....wasn't attacking the plugin at all, just meant the GUI is well below the standard of the slate digital plugins.

Anyway, being unable to audition samples without logic playing is really annoying me. In v1 I could click in the waveform/transient section and hear the samples even when play was paused.

Slate commented on GS that GUI is not like SlateDigital because there is a lot of controls in Trigger 2 and making it like other Slate plugins would take tons of system resources.

That's weird. Trigger 2 works same as Trigger 1 on my system. I never was able to audition samples until I enable Input Monitoring (http://documentation.apple.com/en/logicpro/usermanual/Art/S07/S0701_ChannelStripMonit.png), or while host is playing.

It's definitely a bug, because I've tried it in 64 bit mode and it works as expected (like trigger 1).

think I can probably move on to 64 bit full time anyway now with trigger sorted.

Finally updated to Trigger 2, I had to re-organize the slate samples a second time but ok for that.

Takes a bit of time to get used to, I'm not sure I really like the GUI, the browsing is defo better cause I can also read longer sample names.

Annoying as fuck that it's not under "Slate Digital" like the rest though...is it the same with the other newer slate products? I only have trigger & trigger 2 and VCC yet.

Also a problem I've encountered: When de-activating the plugin (cause I printed to tom tracks for example), when I activate it again, it's empty again?
