I have been thinking the same thing lately as well. Hopefully they still make it out within the next few months.

think with the markets and the dollar both here and in the US being like they are at the moment, don't count on any big name tours for a good long while.

Besides, Barlow's probably campaign for McCain or something.

Either that or they are sorting out stuff internally and put all tours and such on hold -which is a more likely reason.

I went back and found this thread. According to their website, they are still touring the US, so either Shaffer was lying or talking through his arse. Either is likely, knowing him, although there doesn't seem to be any reason why he would say they were going to tour Australia if he knew they weren't.

He has mentioned many times that he has wanted to for a while and was planning too on this tour, I guess the schedule wasn't complete when he was making such statements.

He should have said, "We will be touring Australia, NZ and Japan after the US, and then Europe".
