SOCCER NATION!

England still looking good to take the WC home (as long as they drop Lampard, Rooney and Lennon for the next game)

 Sure, England will take the WC home this year.

And after that, you can turn off your Playstation.

All jokes aside, bro, I hope this doesn't offend you, but I highly doubt they will even make it through the group stage. Them and France... ugh...

But, I do wish England better luck against Slovenia, though.

Brazil did look very good today.

France is dead in the water and they are done for. I think England with pull it together, their backs are against the walls and they have to.

I'm not offended
i had high hopes for the 3 lions before the comp started....judging on a great qualifying campaign....heaps of goals, well organised....but they played the first two games as if they were friendlies and it boggles the mind how they got so shit so quick. The French were shit through qualifying and were always gonna be dissapointing under Dommenach....but Capello had them going in the right direction.....for some reason England are looking like the McLaren era that couldn't qualify for Euro 2008.

All good though...a Gerrard hattrick against Slovenia will see us top the group ;) .....and that second half showing by the US should carry over against Algeria.

I thought they were going to be strong contender also. However, they played with no heart against the US I thought. Same with Algeria. And I'm sorry, but Wayne Who? He plays well in the EPL, but outside that? He sucks. Wayne Who?oney will never be the best in the world. He doesn't have the skills, and he doesn't have the sportsmanship. He's a loose cannon who will never hold a World Cup trophy... unless, it's Playstation again.

France... Domenech unfortunately can't control the team. The French suck. They shouldn't have qualified for the WC in the first place (although today I can't really say much about that...lol). Franck Ribery is another overrated player, who doesn't do shit when he wears the "bleus" jersey. Also, the fact that the player don't respect Domenech doesn't help either. They'll be going home early, I think.

I have to disagree with you about Roney I believe that he is a great player that is starting mature (atleast just a lil bit). However he is just playing like he is out of gas. Maybe he still has an injury or maybe he just burned himself out this year playing for ManU. (which has been England's problem for years, putting club before country)

Au voir Les Bleu!!

Mexico just couldn't get a goal. What a group stage Uruguay had, 2 wins and a draw. They're looking really good.

Most likely Uruguay vs Korea and Mexico vs Argentina for the round of 16.

Wow... France, what an embarrassment. Friggin' amazing how bad they sucked. Mexico actually has a good chance against Argentina if they play how they did against France.

Uruguay, it's pretty safe to say they're in the Quarter Finals already.

I just saw France's coach, Domenech, refusing to shake hands with South Africa coach after the match... what a douche.

Yes France sucked, their coach was a douche, but South Africa did play a good game, glad to see them get the win. I have enjoyed watching Mexico play but I am going to say that Argentina beat them, whatever Mardonna lacks in strategy he has made up for in motivation.

Well tomorrow is the big day for those of us in the States, hopefully that energy from the second half of the last match will carry over to this one and we can get a win and get out of the group.

GO US!

I think Mexico is done after the next game, Argentina's 3 wins are making think they are going a very long way.

Au revoir

Whatever, they're gone!!! Adios!!

I am highly confident in the US, I think they can come out victorious. I still have high hopes for England too.

Think? If we can't destroy Algeria then our team is a joke and we shouldn't expect to go any farther, it's bad enough we tied Slovenia! But I did see the lineup and Edu is starting and they pulled Findley, so Bradley is looking like he's a smart man and im expecting a 2-0 win..

France scored 1 more goal this year than they did 4 years ago

?? they went to the finals I think they scored more than one goal that whole cup :p

One of my fav commercials. Here's to a U.S. victory today, come on guys make history!!

USA! USA! They did it! USA advances and takes the lead in the division! Can hardly believe it since it looked like they were going to be doomed by another bad call, but they pulled it off! Never give up, never surrender!
