hehe well I think it obivious that the gear make the tone good or not...Im not convinced that a ford escort would be better choice than a ferrari, and of course its all depends on the driver/player how to use it.
that I means that you dont necessary get a good tone with great gear, but if you learn the "pro" gear you can get a hell of a better tone then using crap gear and try and try and try to get a good tone

I think we all here are Gearfreaks, so if you can buy it do it, if you want to achieve that sound, damn, do it ,i think is fun, and maybe in the half way you´ll get your sound., i would like to achieve soilworks sound too.
There´s nothing bad if you want to sound like them, some people do that and some people finds their sound.
Is more easy to make a thread, like" How can i achive soilwork´s guitar tone?" than "how can i achive this tone i got in my mind right now?" i think the last one is a much more difficult to someone else to understand what gear or settings you need to get a tone that is only in your imagination
