Soilwork

Korn kind of invented the nu metal sound. And really, I do like their music a bit, but the lyrics and presentation turn me away. So while I may consider the trend as a whole to not be worth the paper I wipe my ass with, a moden metal influence isn't really bad.

I think they're horrible. Their old stuff is a complete At the Gates rip-off, yet it's still better than NBC because now they sound like a nu-metal verison of a swedish metal band! They're so.....bad....
They are NOT bad.

You can NOT say that, you are free to like or dislike their music, but one can NOT ignore the expert musicianship present on all of their albums.

And please stop that bullshit nu metal comparison, adding some staccato riffs or powerchords doesn't mean it's nu metal. Every time a band turns a bit more accessable these days, they are accused of turning nu metal, BULLSHIT!

I think they're bad. Get the fuck over it.

And their sound does have a nu feel to it now. Atleast to me, I'm not putting them in the same ranks as Korn or anything, I'm just saying...
But I think they're a shitty band, if you don't, well... good for you.

it has no nu metal feel to it. just because the band got softer doesnt mean they have a nu metal feel.

and from chainheart machine to the new album, they were not similar to at the gates at all..... their style of riffs is totally different.

Pah, the only similarities between At The Gates and Soilwork are the first Soilwork album (and perhaps a bit of Chainheart), and the last At The Gates album, Slaughter of the Soul. Two different bands, both had one album that sounded similar.

Everything else At The Gates did sounds nothing like everything else Soilwork has done.
