there are some programs which changes midi to waves and waves to midi... Or the rythm line were midis, who knows

Its only possible to convert midi-files to wavs! Midi is a signal wich plays your keyboard. You can have a keyboard in your computer, like me, wich converts the midi directly to an audio-signal! Don't know how to explain!
For example, when a drumkit is triggered (CoB or Dimmu FE use this proceeding too) it give a signal to a computer or a drumsoundmachine, this signal is midi, and the computer plays a note or a fart (if you want, hehe) wich has nothing to do with the drumkit your are playing with!

I don't know what exactly you mean, but I use midi to program the drums! You need a keyboard with drumsounds, or a "keyboard in the computer"! I have the drums sounds in the PC!

i've just bought a v-amp 2 and am thinking of recording some of my stuff.. but i need some drums you know.. can i do drums in the computer? i have no synth or anything. and i dont know what a synth in the computer is, i suck at this you know.. but some hints, like programtips to get started maybe?

Do you have a soundcard? You need that first. Than a program like Cubase or something.
I think it would be better if you go to the next musicshop and ask the people there to help you because it's very hard to make everything work and very hard to explain that to you because I for myself needed a long long time to understand how midi works. For example, if you have Windows NT, Cubase does not work! I hope I could have helped you a bit! Sorry, I'm incompetent, too!
BTW: It's good that you have the V-Amp, like the POD it's very good for homerecording!

I use Cool edi pro for recording.
I also use Guitar pro 4 for drums and bass cause i am only recording covers at the moment and they are usually pre-programmed with the tab.
to make Midi to wave i use a program called Midi to wav
ITs on soulseek and kazaa as a fullversion (trial sucks ass)

You can change the drum kit in Gp4, there is about 50 choices, some sound better thna others.
If Thilo used Midi for his drums, then the option will be in Gp4 cause midi is just one big thing that keybaords/Gp4/Computer programs tap into...

for drums you need some realistic drum sounds, i have drum kit from hell which is made by meshuggah. i made some demos and everybody thought they were a real drummer !
Thanks slaesh, that you like my drumsound! But you can do a great sound with nearly every sample. I for example use much equalizers and some other effect to modulate the sound. All these effect are in Cubase!

Oh, I heard many times that a soundblaster card does not fit that good with Cubase! I have the Delta Audiophile Midiman 24/96 (http://www.netzmarkt.de/thomann/thoiw2_artikel-144503.html ) but again it would be better you ask in your musicstore because only there (or at a bigger musicstore) you can get soundcards wich works with such programs as Cubase!

ok, maybe thats the reason then.. but to be honest the vamp sounds shit throught my 30w kustom, but that could be beacause the amp sucks!
i will ask those at the store because i can not tolerate that this "sensational" preamp sucks! when everyone else seems to be pleased!
