Some fake 5150 distortion again, harhar

i'm trying to give a high clipping input, but it results in a mix of the dry/wet signal, i think it's a fault of my tascam input.

edit: no, it's a sir2 problem, no problem with boogex :)

As for the high input tone: I have a mic pre and push the signal alot so it's clipping the input in my daw, then I push it back so it's at max without clipping. I hit the strings hard, also I have the pickups really high, almost touching the strings, especially the bridge pickup.

But for any amp sim, the key is to get a high input tone from the start.

As I understand you have an overload on sound card input, but then you push volume down by program way (in Cubase "ASIO Input" volume control for example) and when you record you have an overload on hardware input but no clipping on software input. Is this right?
