Ok, so here's a track from my last band
I haven't posted any of the stuff here before, but I have sent bits and pieces to a few members who I have on MSN (Erkan and dcdanman have this track, and Marcus has another one)
When we formed the band, the idea was to be a dual bassist band with no other melodic instrument. One 5 string player playing really subby shit and one player with a 4 string playing higher up. Eventually the guy with the 5 string started playing round with his girlfriends guitar, and we found that we really fucking digged it, so the band kept going that way.
Eventually we began recording a weekly improvisation at the college studio. And these quickly took the shape of half hour plus musical odysseys that went from disco, to dub, funk, doom, sludge, ambient and something linking each recording together instantly recognizable as us.
This recording is the last jam we ever did. We went into this one with the idea of doing some outright funk. We accomplished 3 minutes or so of pure porn music before descending into madness.
Don't go into this recording expecting anything particularly melodic. The music is much more about playing with textures and sounds, seeing what stupid sounds we could coax out of our instruments.
That said, if you're stoner, this music will be fried gold to you. Anyone who wants something to laugh at will get a kick out of this too, and those of you into any really fucked up music will probably enjoy this.

The track's half hour long and uninterrupted, so it's a big download, 72mb.
Keep in mind this track is all improvised on the spot, and 2 of us were still exploring our respective instruments that weren't our usual forté (I'm on drums and Kian's on guitar, Tom is the only player who stuck to his mainstrument.)
Apolagies for the less than stellar recording quality too. I had a single mp3 to play with when it came into trying to inject some clarity and space.
I don't think I'd do much more to this recording even if I had the option to anyway haha.
