nothing different is ever pointless. if a particular sound is laid to tape that has never been heard before, it's existance justifies it's existance.

new and different is always good, always worthwile, and always worth hearing. always. period.

that is the basic foundation of "avant-garde".

Well, if people want to blow $20 on Mike Patton screaming and making all sorts of noise, that's their business I guess. I just fail to see the value in it. That's what it comes down to for me. Some people will say "It doesn't need value! It's art for art's sake! Postmodernism, man!" All of the tracks were recorded when he toured with Faith No More and were released some years later, I believe. it was already established that Mike Patton was a very worthy vocalist. I think a person would be better off checking out Fantomas, Mr Bungle or one of Patton's other billion projects to see his vocal dexterity and to get this last.
