Something's wrong with my bridge

For some reason, (I'm guessing it's the springs or something) my bridge has tilted backwards slightly (away from the fretboard) The whammy bar still works fine for dips, but I can't pull it up at all. The tail end of the bridge is just barely off of the body, so if I strum a chord too hard, it vibrates annoyingly against the body. Can anyone tell me what's wrong and how to fix it. Oh yeah, the guitar is an Ibanez RG170

take the back-cover off and see if everythings ok with the springs and the screws that connect them to the body

adjusting the tension is easy, but going out of tune sounds not all that good I think.......

It might be either:
A) If you have old strings, you need new ones.
or
B) If you just got new strings, they are lighter guage than your old ones and you need to reduce your spring tension or get thicker strings.

haven't changed any strings, they aren't in need of changing....except I changed the high e string, which I doubt changes the tension all that much. It just happened out of the blue.

well then I'd deffinitally look into the back of the guitar to see if there's anything wrong with the springs, the screws or something like that!!!!

I checked it....everything seems to look alright, here's a photo of it

and here's the bridge itself, just in case that helps

Is it just the picture or has the bridge "pivot" been knocked out of its groove?

If not, the guitar looks just fine. Look at it this way, your action is lower!

hmmmm..... cant see anything wrong on the pic

I thought it might be a screw coming out of the wood like what happened to my guitar some time ago, but you would have noticed if it was that

Well, the strings going out of tune when you use it is going to be normal. When you changed your high e, did you stretch it out? There may just be some slipage on the nut that's causing this as well (and just for some side info, the high e has the most tension of all the strings).

As for fixing it. Inside the guitar, screw in both screws like a half or quarter turn (both the same though), retune your guitar and see where the bridge is from there. Keep adjusting in and out till you like it.

And one more stupid question, you didn't happen to retune to like D# from standard E or something did you? You'd have to reset the bridge to do this.

I stretched out all my strings. and I know that the strings will go out of tune when I use it, but it was much quicker and more drastic than usual. And I haven't changed the tuning of all the strings recently, just the low E to drop D and back

Floating trem or standard trem? My buddy had a POS fender squire seven string with that problem, and i just hit the bridge back into place with a hammer but that isnt recommended.

Dude it looks good to me man. Maybe slap another spring in there to keep it in tune better. Or unscrew those two screws holding in the tremolo claw so it is level. That would work

it's quite odd, a few days ago, I picked it up, and it seemed to be in normal position again. Maybe someone's tampering with it? *suspicious eyes*
