I'm always curious to know hich songs my favorite bands have never played live...some bands disappoint me and have large portions of their catalog unplayed while bands like Dream Theater and Marillion have probably done about 95% of their stuff live...that's what I like to see.

Help anyone?

In the Tug of War booklet, Ted has written that they could never play "What to say" (Ted´s and Ed´s favourite Enchant song) live because he would choke singing those lines... so that one´s gotta be on that list.

See...Enchant seem like one of those bands who only seem to play certain songs off of albums and never others. I'd like to hear way more than Paint The Picture live from J9D10, Colors Fade, Juggling Knives, What To Say(I know I know, won't happen), and Black Eyes... are the main ones. I'd give my left nut to hear these live!

DT, Enchant really hasn't toured in support of Blink or JugDrop, so I would guess (hope) that one or two of the songs you listed might show up in this tour. What to Say, though, you're right....we won't hear that one. They did though, perform Paint the Picture at Nearfest in 2002 and you can watch that on streaming video from http://www.margotsmith.com/webcast/enchant256v.ram .

Enjoy! No nuts required!

Cheers!

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,first off, hot news!

Hey we are indeed playing What to Say everyone. We have been playing it all week in the studio and it is sounding really good! And I for one am very exited about it! So plans change hah? Its not for sure yet but it looks pretty good!

And we are working on Colors Fade as well! although that one is a bit harder actually with the fades at the beg and end! but have a plan. And Mare is correct we played Paint the Picture last year at Nearfest and one of my Favorites Broken Wave? and it is indeed still in the set! that one always sounds really good! So what do you think anout that? Hey we did not support J9 or D10 so the others not listed have never been played! YET..........I think Juggling Knives and Rough Draft would both be great!

Lets see............ obviously every song from BPOTW has been done a few times! Open Eyes as well, the first tour in 93 we played the entire first disc and New Moon and Hostile World as well and another song called Drowning Ourselves Benig wrote that never made a disc? and a lot of other covers including Tom Sawyer. I don,t think we have ever done Armor or Look Away from Wounded? I think we did all thbe others in 97? Interact will most likely be in the never played catagory! too damn long!!!!! Standing Groud and Mettle Man were played before Ted and Myself ever joined! I am not sure about Break? I think only Break King and My Enemy were played that tour? I didn,t do that one.

From Blink we have obvoiusly not done a few of those again YET? We have added Monday to the list now as well and are working on Under Fire ( tough one ) and Follow the Sun. The rest are in the yet to be played catagory. That does not mean we wont play them someday! ? Not sure about Tug yet?

So how is that for a detailed answer, hey Rush always had at least one song they didn,t play live from each one? or am I mistaken? It is cool to do as many as possible but there are songs that are better not LIVE!

Dude,

You better release a live CD with What to Say and Monday live. No excuses. You kick ass live, so the world deserves an Enchant live CD.

Hey Ed

Great to hear about What to Say & Colors Fade, two of my favorites! Monday is a great one too. Throw in Juggling Knives & Aquaintance, and I may have to do some travelling to catch you guys! At least I got to see Nearfest.

BTW, I love the new album. It took a few listens for me to get used to, which means it will be a long-lasting favorite. So many great songs; Sinking Sand, See No Evil, Progtology and Comatose are particularly stuck in my head.

Good luck with the tour & album

Whoa!! Sorry guys...I didn't realize you never toured for a few of these albums. But anyways, yeah...Ed's update is definitely THE GREATEST THING I HAVE EVER READ about Enchant thus far. Great update and I hope you guys get around to playing some of those songs(and releasing that live album too obviously  )

What To Say and Colors Fade would be amazing really...I can't even imagine how great it'd be to see them live.

As for Rush, they usually leave like 6 or 7 songs unplayed on their albums nowadays and they always resort to the same songs on back catalogs being played. Yes does the same thing and it really kills to excitement you have before a concert because you know exactly what the band is going to play every single time. I'm glad to hear Enchant is not going this route :)

No Aplogies neccesary Artstar.

I agree with you on the post actually. It is always nice to hear a lot of differant stuff from bands! not just the same stuff. But there is a lot more to it believe me! In the end we will play what sounds best! and what we believe YOU all want to hear! we think about all of it in great detail!

To be really honest we have all this newer stuff we want to play and have done the first two discs so much already you can probably count on a few older ones but mostly newer material. This is a new Enchant as well. From the sound of it thats exactly what most if not all of you are totally into anyways!

I think it is all about balance with everything and we are trying to do this with the material for the tour. We are up to around 15 songs we have ready or close too? and probably four others we won,t play but could? we will have more than enough material for a live disc DVD or whatever opportunity arises soon here.

Thanks again for the post
