songs that never get old/favorite songs

CaGeD iN

Wandering on Ypres Rd.
what are your favorite songs that never get old no matter how many times you listen to them?

tristania - angellore
through the eyes of the dead - two inches from a main artery
soilwork - stabbing the drama
deicide - scars of the crucifix
in ruins - confessional hymn
datura - apartment 33b
dying fetus - reduced to slavery
WoY - the will to give
the green evening requiem - tommorrow is just another today
cradle of filth - mannequin

i know those arent all black metal, but hey i like a wider range of metal than black metal so.... what are yours

nobody said you can only liten to black metal.... or any type of metal.

mine would be:

Black Label Society- I Never Dreamed
Corrosion of Conformity- Shelter
Katatonia- Deadhouse (just recently)
Agalloch- A Desolation Song
anything Opeth really

I dunno man, I never really get tired of any songs/bands if theyre good. and if theyre not good I dont listen to them at all. but those listed above are some that I have listened to for long periods of time repeatedly so I guess they deserve special mention.

Thought I was the only one that thought that Deicide track was a classic. Everyone else just seems to dislike the whole album for the most part with no mention of the title track.

I'm listening to this track now, but I feel that it will never get old - Dream Theater's Octavarium. It is quite amazing. A lot of the tracks that would fit on this list are songs I used to hate. Quite ironic. In fact I really love the albums as a whole and I try not to pick off individual tracks if the whole album is great. I'll try to make this list quite thorough:

Dream Theater - Octavarium
Dream Theater - The Root of All Evil (good way to end the alcoholics anonymous steps IMO)
Deicide - Scars of the Crucifix, Trifixion, and the first three tracks off the self-titled
Woods of Ypres - The Sun Was In My Eyes: Part 1
Death - Flesh and the Power it Holds
Death - on second thought, everything on The Sound of Perseverance including the Judas Priest cover
Death - I realize I'm highly indecisive, but Crystal Mountain definitely makes it to the top
Behemoth - all of Demigod
Lykathea Aflame - whole album
Augury - all of Concealed no doubts about this
Demilich - When the Sun Drank the Weight of the Water
Ahab - Old Thunder
Asmegin - Hin Grønnkledde
Arsis - A Diamond for Disease
Kalmah - Evil in You (mind you, I haven't heard much from this band, but this track really got me. I used to think it was generic melodeath, but after trying it again after about 6 months, I can safely say it's an amazing track)
Cynic - all of Focus
Cryptopsy - all of None So Vile
Gorguts - Obscura
Circus Maximus - Sin
Dark Tranquility - The Gallery is great, but for me the standout track is either Punish My Heaven or Silence and the Firmament Withdrew
At the Gates - Blinded by Fear (the rest of the album comes very close though)
Hypocrisy - Eraser
Nile - intro track to Annihilation of the Wicked
Meshuggah - Future Breed Machine and New Millenium Cyanide Christ
Nevermore - Narcosynthesis
Megadeth - A Toute le Monde
Lord Belial - Forlorn in Silence
Kreator - Black Sunrise
Emperor - all of In the Nightside Eclipse and Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk, however I'll say I Am the Black Wizards, both intro tracks, and Cosmic Keys to My Creation & Times
Ephel Duath - all of the Painter's Pallette
Iced Earth - Burnt Offerings
Immortal - Noctambulant and Solarfall. Also if I'm up for something thrashy, I never go wrong with One by One.
Burzum - Feeble Screams From Forests Unknown
Insomnium - The Day It All Came Down
Iron Maiden - Dance of Death, 2 Minutes to Midnight, To Tame a Land, Run to the Hills, Hallowed be the Name
Severed Savior - Fuck the Humans, One by One
Wintersun - Beyond the Dark Sun
Watain - I Am The Earth
Symphony X - realistically any track from The Damnation Game till The Odyssey
Testament - most of their ballads like The Ballad (lol) and Return to Serenity. Also, most of The New Order (especially Hypnosis and Musical Death (A Dirge))
Xasthur - A Walk Beyond Utter Blackness
Morbid Angel - God of Emptiness, Fall from Grace, Desolate Ways (\m/)
Quo Vadis - Dream, Mute Requiem, Silence Calls the Storm
Obituary - Slowly We Rot
Psycroptic - The Colour of Sleep
Decapitated - Spheres of Madness
