I swear my pall Hawk is Canadian !!!
 Well, almost. I have a period in the late 70s when I listened A LOT to Canadian bands. It started with Rush of course and though them I discovered Max Webster. After that I really got interested. So I checked out Moxy, Triumph, Trooper, The Imps, Wire, Frank Mario & bla bla bla, Goddo and other bands who at the moment I can't seem to remember :erk:

Anyway the Canadian [hard] rock scene in the late 70s was alive and very interesting.

Of course you did, we all had those. They were kinda hard to keep away from those day's. :) I listened to most of the music you listed. Kansas and Boston were favorites. I still really like the Beatles, believe it or not, they had a sense of melody that really set them apart. You should check out Revolver, The White album, Abbey Road and Rubber Soul. All of them great albums.

I am fairly familiar with all of the later Beatle albums when they stopped touring and became quite "experimental" which really started with Revolver. I like the albums you named less Rubber Soul (it's fair thoug) and also enjoy Sgt. Peppers and Magical Mystery Tour.
Boston was a big influence on me. Though they are very melodic, the guitar tone and production was just out of this world. EVERY other band in that era sounded flat compared to those guys. Even great albums like VH1 sounded like it was recorded in a garage compared to Boston. Don't get me wrong, that style of production is too slick for most bands, but it did give me a high standard for the way a rock band should "sound" early in my music life.

Bryant

Revolver is my Fave
Beatles created great songs bottommm line ( they might of stole from and there!)
Most "Metal Heads" laugh at the Beatles, but if it wasn't for...you now the rest haha.Boston still sounds great.I just licenced a song out to TSN that
I thought sounded like Nu-Metal...Mr.J signed for it saying it sounded like "Classic Rock" So Bryant if you want to make $ of your talent
:Teach
:build a studio @ home
:Get a manager/ entertainment lawyer who believes in you
:Oh yeah,be versatile in your playing
:Over charge for film work
:Offer free work for charities eg. a womens shelter or the sick kids hospital
: I know you didn't ask for my advice, but i'm sure you would like to quite the job you have now and make a living off of your talent right?
HAHAHA a eg. is turn to TSN @ 8:00 and watch X-Treme Fishing
That pays and I own the rights to the music

Kim Mitchell is one of the best guitarist ever. . . And BTW if you read down..H.A.W.k

Yea that was one of those I forgot. I have their first album. Great stuff!

If Kim loved it why the hell does he not reform the mighty Max?? Tell him to get his shit together!! :) Damn if the Max machine would be playing somewere I would be willing to fly to Canada and a lot of people with me!!

Look at Trooper and Moxy both of them reformed and they are having a great time doing it!

Max reformed for a few shows here 4-5 years ago...it was insane, the audience was like a
Slayer crowd but alot older hahaha,Kim wants to leave it behind and prove himself???
He had #1 song solo with might aswell go for a soda and 10 other hits.he is getting bitter there days.just ask him about Nickelback and he will go off hahaha
I'm writing with Sreve Madden from Reckless....Remeber them "Hot And Ready" (Doug Adama sang with them from WITCHKILLER an now owns the biggest pyro company in North America)
we had a laugh afew weeks ago about Baz Sabastian Burke aBach I mean.Baz was the biggest siisy here in Toronto< I saved his ass more than I can count on cramped hand..
Then the next thing he's giving interviews to RIP mag and talking how tough he was haha.Man that boy can sing and I was so proud to see him on the cover of EVERY mag in the late 80's

what do i know / i sat under a cloud / i looked up / 'fraid to look down
i knew i'd cry if i didn't clear / i knew i'd die if i didn't hear you say
forget that fear of gravity
you take that dream away from me / i'll have trouble getting through the day
get a little savagery in your life
i'll have trouble tying my shoes
forget that fear of gravity
i'll laugh when it rains and dampens my hair
get a little savagery in your life
in my cloud / i walk close never fearing the edge
never waiting at the bend / never two-faced at a crossroads
never wanting the edge of my cloud / tender is the night--C
forget that fear of gravity gravity gravity
forget that fear of gravity
and i'll sit in the window without a cigarette
get a little savagery in your life
SONG@: Words to Words
(M--Mitchell; L--DuBois)
u r an original creation / celebrate / celebrate
moving me down to earth
face to face
words to words
it's just so damn easy for me to go
u hold my mind and fate
u r murder
u r mercy
black
and
white
u attract
u repel
u r thunder
u r silence
C riding me down to earth
face to face
words to words
stealing a gaze for all its worth
at the roads we traced / the stars we paced
it was easy with my life on the line
C2 think i'm going to settle down tonight / say u kept me crying alright
think i'm going to settle down tonight / cause u did something
seemed hazy / almost goddesslike
u r an original creation / celebrate / celebrate--C, C2

He should leave his ego at home and acknowlegde the truth. He is not scoring hits anymore. I hope he comes to his senses before it is too late.

He's in *every* tv show or documentary about anything remotely related to metal  I'd much rather have him quit the talking and start screaming again. It's been ages since he released something.

I've seen Anvil in the 80s just after their second album in our Dynamo club. Fantastic!! Seen Exciter as the support act of Maiden in Germany. The bill was Exciter, Trust [yep those french guys] and Maiden.

But I was most impressed by Razor. Saw them @ Wacken 2000. They slayed man. Unbelieveable!!
