And not just by saying "The Clansman is their best song!!1!"

On Thursday I'm going to go and grab Iron Maiden, Killers, Number of the Beast and Seventh Son! They're all cheap, so ima grab 'em.

The only album I have is Piece of Mind and it is awesome. But now when you talk about albums and songs I will be all "Oh yeah, I can talk to you about that."

So I just thought I'd let you all know.

What the hell?
I thought you were a Maiden fan.
Or was it just our charm and witty one liners that made you decide to check out this board?

Fuck man.. I kinda envy you. You have ALOT of killer musical discovery ahead of you! Make suer you get Somewhere in Time on your first trip

AND... Get Chemical Wedding and Accident of Birth NOW

Haha, I am a Maiden fan... just haven't bought anything really before.

I know all the classics really well and my mate has all their albums bar Piece of Mind, so I've heard a lot of them.

Just don't know a lot of songs by name - and haven't heard a lot of the songs you lot always talk about!

You should get into self-titled, particularly Phantom Of The Opera. 'Cause as Bruce said at Ozzfest, that song's what Maiden are all about, and if you don't like it then you can fuck right off.

But congrats on the excellent selections.

LAD was the first Maiden album I heard. I believe SIT was the first studio album I heard, but Mark will be able to confirm because we both heard them at the same time. Pretty sure it was SIT though, with him buying NOTB shortly afterwards. And back then (in 1986) Killers came with Women in Uniform (yay!) and without Twilight Zone (woohoo!). Ah, them were the days.

hehehe.

My brother started haning out (well sort of protecting) an American kid who thought that long hair and and eyeshadow was the appropriate gear to wear in year 8 in Oz.

He brought around 7th Son, Shout at the Devil, and some Dokken.

He introduced the song in a similar way at Graspop. Great song. I love the version on LAD.

The remaster of NOTB is the best remaster as it has Total Eclipse. Fuck yeah.

NOTB was the first album I heard, I picked up a cheap second hand copy when I was a youngen. I also got Peace Sells, my first 'Deth album at the same time. What a pick up that was.
Fear Of The Dark was my second album, so I still have a soft spot for it, since it did it's part to get me into the band more. The Aussie tour version I have, features the best live Maiden recordings I have heard, strangely of NPFTD material. Rock.
