Eddy... read the article... some good points and tips... IF you've spent nearly a decade on a major label laying the ground work like they have. they had someone funding their rise to some prominence in their genre, and now they are able to capitalize on that to go it alone. that's great for them, but i'd like to see some unknown bands, at least in any significant numbers, get very far on that route....

Yea, I read it and I agree with you, I'd like to see it too. In fact, I really want to see it, so I know it's possible. Reading it my first thought was "Holy shit, someone's done it without a label" and then "Bah, they were on a label and the article is not what I thought it was". But still, it is related to the subject of this thread and I wanted to share it with you, in case someone hadn't seen it.
