Hey guys
So over the last year I have sold most of my gear as I will not be recording entire drumkits and now have purchased a modest little setup to record bass, guitars, vocals. Recently I purchased (on hold) the alpha channel strip for a more professional front end (which i received the deunde native bundle for free !!!!). I was wondering if the convertors in the alpha channel would be better than my fire face 400. If so I was planning to connect the two via s/pdif (spdif OUT of fire face into the IN of the alpha channel and the spdif OUT of the alpha channel into the IN of the fire face. Is that how you guys would connect the two?
My other equipment is as follows:
mac book pro (late 2011)
rme fireface 400
presonus monitor station
yamaha hs 50 + sub
ath m50 headphones
sans amp bass driver
shure 57
rode nt5's
audix i5
rode nt2a
logic pro
slate vtm, vcc, trigger, fgx
waves cla bundle/ signature series
Would there be anything else that would be needed in my new setup (the new room will be treated).
