SSL Duende is going NATIVE!!!

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

So happy right now, I nearly bought Duende last week as well! Perhaps this is a sign of things to come?

I have a horrible feeling that even if AVID follows suit, we will still need to buy PCI cards to handle I/O as well as being an elaborate expensive dongle. Essentially the same thing without DSP.

Were they forced into releasing this information early after someone found a bunch of info on their in-secure servers or something? Thats what a brief read suggests

Seems to be. At least they're denying some tricked-out viral marketing plan on their part.

Anyway, good news. Great example for a company, who's success is heavily rooted in past achievements, embracing current and coming developments in the business.

Oh mean, this is awesome. I was seriously contemplating finally snatching the Waves SSL bundle this month since it's on sale, but now I think I may wait...

Since I have the UAD SSL emulations the only plugin I was really interested in was the drumstrip. and maybe the vocal strip. Buying another PCIe board for just one possibly two plugins was not a good idea. So I am glad I can own those plugs. I am curious what the prices will be

good move but for me 1,5 years to late..
also I only heart fantastic things about the mixbus.

Some people say it sounds identical to the real deal.

but on the other hand I think I am better of buying a hardware clone...

ermz there are tons of them on gearslutz

the waves channel and the duende sound different because different consoles were used. the mixbus was better on the duende.

but when the mixbus is only half the price of the hardware clone I will buy the hardware just for the itb-otb-itb

I'm extreme curious what they'll do with the pricing.

If the plugs are to cheap in relation to the hardware then the hardware will go down...

Hopefully not too expensive, I'm stoked as hell to get my hands on the Drumstrip.

Curious how good the compressors are on the channel strip. Already have enough bus comps to last me a life time. Through the tests we've all done with the GSSL the Waves bus comp comes remarkably close anyway.

I don't know if you guys are going to like the comp/chanstrip... it's very smooth sounding stuff, not really that punchy.

I love the X-EQ though.

awesome news, I love the duende plugs. I actually prefer them over the waves(haven't tried the uad/ssl), like someone said earlier it is smoother sounding than the waves, but you can def get some punch out of it. at first i kinda thought it was dull sounding, but the more I used it the more i got used it. it's now my main eq comp on pretty much everything.

in case anyone wants to check it out, all eq and comp on this was done with the duende channel stip plugs. the only comp/eq that wasn't duende was the drum bus (bf 1176) and ozone on the master.

I could never get the duende reverb demo to work with pt though, which really sucks because it is supposed to rival lexicon(but alot cheaper) and I believe it was made by the same people that did the csr reverb -which was really good for the price imo
