SSL Duende is going NATIVE!!!

awesome news, I love the duende plugs. I actually prefer them over the waves(haven't tried the uad/ssl), like someone said earlier it is smoother sounding than the waves, but you can def get some punch out of it. at first i kinda thought it was dull sounding, but the more I used it the more i got used it. it's now my main eq comp on pretty much everything.

in case anyone wants to check it out, all eq and comp on this was done with the duende channel stip plugs. the only comp/eq that wasn't duende was the drum bus (bf 1176) and ozone on the master.

I could never get the duende reverb demo to work with pt though, which really sucks because it is supposed to rival lexicon(but alot cheaper) and I believe it was made by the same people that did the csr reverb -which was really good for the price imo

Nice, I dig the compressor grab on the drums there.

Can't wait to demo these things, smooth or no.

Pretty bold move by SSL...I wonder if / when UAD will follow suit? Although the UAD hardware isn't such a buggy piece of shit. Nonetheless the SSL plugs are great, the X-EQ and X-Comp are my bread and butter clean plugs, despite the occasional annoying pain in the ass with the hardware / drivers.

Cool. Hopefully there will be a demo, then we can do some shootouts. Happy Waves SSL user here, although I find myself increasingly disliking the "analog" button, and disabling it most of the time these days. It seems to muddy up the mixes in a way that's not very "analog" IMO (both in the channel strips and the buss comp.)

i really like the channel strip and bus comp i once tried recreating the Waves CLA presets from the SSL bundle on my duende channel strip and it sounded pretty good,
ive never has any driver/software issues on xp or win7/64 with protools
Looks like we (current owners) will be getting free native plugins and still able to use the hardware too - not too shabby
Kinda how Sonnox works with powercore you get powercore and native licences of each plugin.
