SSL Duende Native plugins are out

Are you running 32 bit or 64 because I know it says on the site that if your running 64 bit os with a 32 bit host you still need to download the 32 bit installer.

should be absolutely logical as the sequencer is
hosting the plugin and not the OS! :)

cheers
S.

I've added a 3rd clip, this time I disabled the comp on the CS and used the Xcomp instead.

Similar results but obv its got many more settings you can tweak with like the roll at the start gets clamped a little too much by the CS....fuck sake I really hoped I could get away with the CS which does everything at its best....:\

Apologies for any GAS that has been created :(

I prefer the clip with the Xcomp... The SSL CS does something weird to the snare's low mids. The Xcomp sounds snappy and big at the same time.

I've tried them all out besides the vocal one....but I think the Channel Strip and the Xcomp are the ones id go for out of the bunch. The reverbs good as is the transient designer on the drum plugin but its not worth £129 as the others are, *bit more expensive granted*.

Best scenario would be to have them all of course :kickass:

SSL CS + Xcomp = compression and eq bases covered imo

A bit torn here. The only thing I'm interested in is the Channel Strip... but even then I'd be doing all the compression via outboard, so it would only be for the EQ. Now as far as EQ goes, nothing digital I've heard has ever touched Nebula, and of course the CLC and MLC EQs are great and already out. Given the massive price tag, and the super inconvenient licensing method, I'm not as tempted as I thought I would be.

Jaymz, send me the full quality mix file if you want it run through a GSSL, to see how close any of them get to real outboard.

Should I send you it with or without the limiter I used?

I think The glue and the SSL is equally good after i listened there :) the Glue might be like 2% if you listen to how the Snare transient change between those 2, but no normal person would hear the difference.-

Cheers James

Here's another one....interesting to hear your opinions on this one:

Waves SSL Bus Comp vs SSL Bus Comp (4db GR):

Shit, the prices on the SSL site are EX Vat :(:(:(

You've fucked me with the raw drums, really like the SSL comp on snare, damn...
Bus Comp:
1. Glue
2. SSL
3. Waves

Not on my studio monitors but the difference is rather small on HiFi speakers.
Like the glue the most, it just glues...
Wouldn't bother me to own the SSL comp, though.

Thanks for your efforts dude!

Pleasure Christian! Shame I don't own any UAD to compare :)

Aboutblank:

Fucked you with the raw drums? What doez meanz?

SSL CS or Xcomp on snare you prefer? Im actually digging the CS just as much after a little tweaking!

The comp just sounds so awesome, and that's not cool cause he's rather pricy, I have no money, so you fucked me:kickass:

;)

I prefer the CS, too. Like the flavour.

I could add the 4 k stuff(own a UAD), but I don't think it comes even close.

Ahh I see! Fucking you is a good thing? :kickass:

Its funny because if you order the bus comp and the channel strip off their website it comes to about £475 or something...go on DV247 (UK though) and they have the "essentials" bundle which is the same 2 plugs...but for £350 :Smokedev:
