Standalone drum software??

So I'm having a really hard time finding a standalone drum software, something possibly freeware or cheap, easy to use and not too heavy on cpu's. The fact is that I have a project with this drummer guy who is barely able to turn on a pc, I'm afraid even Reaper + any VST would be too complicated...!!! I just want something he can use to put down some patterns or so at home.
The only one i found til now is BFD Eco.
Ideas?

Hydrogen? It's grid based and there's a few kits you can import in (the metal one is halfway OK for what it is), it's free, and easy to use.

You can't export MIDI though, even if the program says it can. I used to use it for quick demos and the like.

Beatcraft? It's cheap as shit (in more ways than one) but might do the trick for you?

Drumsite is pretty good and cheap. Lets you load your own multisamples, export midi, etc. Easy to use as well. The demo disables saving, but I think you can still export the midi:
