Steve I would like to know your opinion on the bass player known as flea. Do you think he is better than you?You and flea have been my inspirations ever since I started playing the bass.

I think Steve is better ´cause he have a forum that we can flood, and he answer our questions and discuss important things like "Lemon Scents". (In ridles, of course, but he does.)

Steve seems seems to be a normal, down to earth kind a guy (though maybe he should wash his hands, hehe?); Flea (though i thinks he's a good bassist) is too MTV now, and he's a bit much of a freak for me to admire much (that magazine cover with him kissin Navarro had me gaggin).

Oh, okay. I was actually refering more to his attitude and lifestyle and such as being MTV (for lack of a better word at the moment). It honestly doesn't matter to me if someone plays with a pick or not, it's all good.

on a side note. did anyone else think "By the way" the new rhcp album is completely horrible? argh! This is what happens when they keep the same guitarist for two consecutive albums, especially if it's a ex junkie burn out who they feel sorry for. I'm not using drugs as an excuse for him not being able to play since navaro can jam the fuck out and has seen more herion than a afghan warlord but this new stuff is just pathetic. They should of quit while they still were half ass decent.

Anyway,regarding the new stuff,they're not going that way just because of John.They appear to be trying to recreate Joy Division's sound or something.They want to play nice songs about girls with smiles and big hearts made out of lovely jam...

If I wanted funky, techincal, etc., I'd listen to Les Claypool. If I wanted bass along with metal, it'd still be Steve (seeing how Les hasn't made metal since BI).

BTW, the first tolerable RHCP albums I can finally like are the last two. I didn't like the older albums by them. Maybe the new one isn't sooooo good, but the one before...hmmm...Californication...I think that's it. Well I really like that album, and the new one is kinda like that, but maybe a little more gay.
So because of the tattoos and the fact that he saves money by needing less shampoo...I conceed the contest to Flea.
Oh yeah...unlike myself, he knows what it's like to play on albums that have sold millions of copies.
