Steve Evetts Kick?

Doe anyone have any tipps on how to get a evett-esque kick? They always seem to have that nice splatty character. Especially the one on "The Here And Now"...

sounds like a nice pillowy natural kick with a ton of parallel comp. i guess you have to find a kick sample with that pillowy sound

What kind of processing did you use apart from the parallel comp?

I think it's just done the old fashioned way, using the room mics too..

Absolutelly pretty loud Room mics.
Also try layering tight clicky kick with some nice Vistalite kind of sample, it works pretty well for me!!!
