It's a personal thing really. As one of the writers/performers of those songs on TWTF, I tend to notice all the flaws and shortcomings much more than the average listener would, plus I have my own personal connections to the songs, both good and bad. I think TWTF is a good album but looking back now, I think there were alot of things we could've and should've done differently, mostly in the songwriting/arranging department. But y'know, it's okay because it's all a learning process as we go.
TWTF is more emotional musically than TPHD I suppose. I think TPHD just has a different kind of emotional vibe to it. As will this new album when it's done.
