Stinnett Guitars, new designs on the drawing board:

if the second one was a little more symmetrical at the bottom end of the guitar it would look fantastic (in my opinon). Maybe it's less original this way, but the cut-away and headstock still rule:

don't dig the first one, but the second one...porn!
Actually it's almost exactly the guitar I drew on the side of my exercise books during school...

But I would love a classic Les Paul Bridge (or string through, but not that "Hey I am a strat without a trem"-bridge)

with a nice flamed maple top, some dark burst or see through finish,
EMGs and 25,5" scale (or 26,5, that would be great).

Well, the first one kinda looks like a turd...

But I love your singlecut design, Will. Especially that last one with the blue quilted top looks awesome. Reminds of the Cort Pagelli design:

Blech, I'm NOT a fan of that "f-hole" esque bottom cut, and it's too pointy (not rounded enough on the curves). I see the similarity, but Will's DESTROYS this one IMO!

And Will, FWIW for the reasons I mentioned before, I prefer your first singlecut design to the second (quilted) one! Still, I love 'em both!

I'd take Will's design over that one any day, too. In fact I wouldn't want that Cort at all... it was just like: "Wait, that looks familiar!".

Les Paul's original design is such a legendary classic for a reason. I've never happened to like anything that went far off from the original proportions... same with Explorers.

Yeah, I hear ya dude - fortunately for me, I'll never buy another single-cut again (for the reasons I mentioned earlier), so it's not something I'll have to worry about!

The heel will be generously shaped on the single cut so you don't have that horrendous, huge block of fuck in your way when you hit the upper frets like a Les Paul :puke: .

This is a close approximation, but hand finishing will give smoother contours.

I absolutely LOVE that dyed top/natural back design,
Build this guitar with this finish:

I'd beat up my parents to lend me some money

EDIT:
and btw, what prog are you using for your renders? If you sent me the models I could do some
kinda photorealistic pics just for fun... Could be nice to have a better representation of
how the guitars would end up looking like ^^

I use Pro-Engineer 3D modeling software. It's not really meant for ultra realistic renders, but these are good enough for me, just as a visualization tool. And thanks, but I'd rather not pass around any of my models. ;)
