Streaming of Exodus in studio

Heard through the Grapevine that Gary is selling some Randall, Peavey Gear (2 RM100 Heads w/modules and a XXX, and a Randall Cab) to fund the purchase of "The new holy grail" a.k.a. The Engl Savage120.

WORD.

yeah, I thought that it was really funny, that Jeff Loomis started using Engl amps like 2 years ago or something
because he tested different cabinets for the Rock Hard Magazine Tonezone like 6 years ago or so and
he used a Engl Savage 120 head to test the cabinets, he actually liked the Engl more
than a Mesa, Marshall and Line6 as far as I can remember.

I think it's due to the fact, that Engl just became famous in the USA in the last 2 years.
The Accept guys for example are using Engl since, I think for 10-15years.

So BTT:
Cool thing that Gary likes the Engl so much, in my opinion, because I really dig the Savage :D

Some more guitar recording and Andy slaving away at drum editing:

Rob (to Andy): "So after a long day of metal, how do you feel?"

Andy [lying on the bed, chillin']: "*mumble, mumble*... there's always room for more metal!"

Yeah, that's the attitude!

Funny how I often see people saying the Peavey cabs are shitty (I don't mean neccessarily on this board but I've seen it been done here before), but Andy's using them, and IIRC The Way of All Flesh was tracked using Peavey Cabs and if I must say so, The Way of All Flesh packs an incredible guitar tone.

Well, depends on which Peavey cab we're talking about. Many people just don't like Peavey cabs with the Sheffield speakers (me included), some do, but Andy said it's a cab with V30s here, so it's not surprising that the tone is a crowd pleaser. ;)

Andy, do you connect your Lacie with firewire or do you use an eSata express card?
I usually notice that fw400 connection is a little too slow for editing and tracking

Drive is probably done via 800, and his oo2R is FW400 ;)
