I'm going to be setting up my ernie ball for drop c. Just wanted to check in before I buy strings any recomendations on guage and brand

Oh and Drop B as well if you have any suggestions

Depends on the scale length for me.

I play a Les Paul, so to compensate for the shorter scale (24.75") I use 13-56 DR Jeff Healy strings. They are a pretty perfect gauge for this tuning. At times I feel that I can go a bit higher on the low E, but for the most part I dig them a lot!

I would stay away from slinkys. I really dislike Ernie Ball strings. Every set of Ernie Ball I've ever had/restrung someone's guitar with had an intonation problem or broke. I havent broken a D'Addario string in over 4 years, dead ass.

Whenever people bring me a pack of those fucking strings I cringe and say "a string will break and you're going to have to buy a new pack, ttys" XD
