13-65 DR-Strings are awsome for drop-B but to loose for drop-A IMO

I use Dunlop Heavy Core 12-54's for drop A#, and I find the tension just fine.

what about intonation and stuff no problems there?

For me the DR Strings 13-65 are to soft for drop A....

Not in my experience, just a quick spring tension adjustment on the FR and a small truss rod adjustment is all I usually do when restringing. I think maybe once the intonation was out a bit when restringing, but if you know what you're doing it's little to no effort to fix aha.

I have my LTD EC-1000 in drop A with .12-.56 and it works absolutely perfect for me.

Just strung up on RG (25.5" scale) with daddario 14-68 and it's seeming pretty good. Maybe a touch tight but at least it gives me an opportunity to mess around a bit lower too (though the intonation starts getting a bit poor)

Haha wow. I play 11-49 in standard and 12-52 in Drop C... Can't imagine what I'd put for Drop A 0.o

10-68 on an 8 with a 27" scale length, nearly tight enough, the 80 in low e is not tight enought though

Not really no, it feels a bit looser than my Les Paul that's in standard with 10-46. But there's not THAT much difference.

Maybe I should try some 14-68's when I restring it next week and report back

I'm on 13-62 on B standard, so I guess if I were to go drop A I would get a 65 or 68 string.

I hit my guitar quite hard but it would have to be an custom set something between 12-65. I just can't understand how lightly people play if they can do fucking drop A with 52!! shiiit...
