Drop C Strings

I'd say 10-52s or an average 11 gauge set for drop C if your light handed…

being a bassist, my guitar playing is really heavy handed so i've needed heavier than this for my C standard guitar...

Maybe its just me, but I am never happy with one specific set of strings for any tuning. I am always trying new brands and slightly different gauges. I tend to stay around 50-54 for drop C but it depends on my mood!

And is this just me, or do really thick strings seem to have more tuning instability? Like, the initial attack, especially if you pick hard, is much more out of tune with the sustaining note on thick strings like a 60 compared to a 54? Ive only went to 60 once, so I can't be sure..

Don't forget to make the proper adjustments to your truss rod after you install thicker gauge strings. Otherwise, the neck might pull forward too much and mess with your action and intonation!
