Sub £500 4x12 or 2x12 recommendations

I saw a french black metal band last week and one of their guitarists used one - sounded great (fidelity in black metal?!)


Anyway, I've decided on the Zilla Super Fat Boy with Vintage 30's, black tolex, basket weave grill cloth and the three piece back which came in at £450 plus postage etc.


I'll be posting about it profusely when it arrives - thanks a load to everybody who posted; I would have probably bought a Behringer dressed up as a Mesa otherwise.

This is my one, pretty much same spec apart from its a standard Fatboy

Also regarding recording, something which I overlooked. If you wanna get the basket weave grill, get it made some its removable as its a total bastard looking through the weave even with a powerful torch.
I think I read here or somewhere its something Paul @ zilla can do.

Fuck, I knew I wanted that but forgot to ask - I emailed Paul and he's gonna put it in for £50, so total cost is now £500.

I don't live there now, but go up a few time as a week for uni - once I get the Zilla through I'll bring it up if you want to hear it in person.
