Summer festivals

So...who's off to Wacken, Bloodstock etc etc

Not much festival action for me this year I'm afraid, although I've always preferred indoor events myself.

well, i made it over to Hellfest this year which was pretty awesome!

will be going to bloodstock as always and thats it

sucks that your not getting to any this year steve

I went to Gods of Metal in late June in Italy which was really cool

Last year I went to Wacken and it wasn't so bad. And of course Gamma Ray are playing there this year. D'oh.

I really think I was born in the wrong country, given my taste in music! I'd kill to fly over to Europe and see Wacken just once...

Well all you have to do is save up the money. That' what I did. Though ironically it was more expensive to fly to Wacken in 2008 than Gods of Metal in 2009. The whole trip costs me $2000 USD while Gods of Metal only cost me $1000 USD.

I did indeed! My flight home was oversold, so they offered my friend and I 250€ EACH to fly via Vienna instead. Needless to say, we pretty much bit their hand off!
