Superior 2.0, Sampling Cymbals/OH

i tried searching and couldnt find any threads on this subject, so im posting here.

as im getting more familiar with midi drums and SD2, i cant see how to sample cymbals, because for my mixes, the OHs in SD2 just arent enough. could i maybe just set up another track to trigger a midi note and play whatever sample is being triggered? but would that still be routed to SD2 to use with the OH/room buses?

any ideas would help!

i am not sure what exactly your question is about but i wll try...

superior 2 is a "closed entity" you can combine different
SDX packs with each other but you can't "insert" any other external samples,
as everything in superior is sample based, there are direct, OH and room samples,
there is no room effect you could send the external sample to.

Separate the drum midi track in 2 midi tracks.
The first one only for the drums and the second one only for cymbals (that you will process with another sampler with your favourite cymbals samples)

well that helps me a lot. and ive gotten to where i can sample the drums. but how do others use external cymbals? just create a new track triggering the cymbal and use midi for each track without bothering with SD (other other software)'s OH/room?

I've heard about people using EZ player for combining multiple samplers, so you might want to investigate that.
