thanks man! yeah the key is to use different velocities, the more you make each hit different from the others the more it will sound human, also put some ghost notes in there, both for kick and snare..another very important thing I actually found out recently: don't quantize every hit. just drag each one manually a bit "off" the grid so to speak, it will sound 1000 times better!
thanks man! actually most of the work is done in cubase, I'm going multi out from SD so I can work on each piece independently, inside SD there's some comp and EQ but nothing other than that. I parallel compress the sh*t out of kick, snare and toms and apply all the EQs, limiters, comp in cubase
