Hey, does anyone know why my strings always broke when i pull up my licensed floyd rose ? should I buy thicker strings ? any suggestions plz

first of all, what guage of string are you using? nextly do you know how to setup your guitar? also are you sure your strings are properly stretched before you start doing vai stlye antics on your floyd. they are finicky little bastards but once you learn how to set them up properly you will be going apeshit with them (I can raise an E to a C# on my floyds with no problems, thats 6 semitones if im not mistaken!)
