They grab the parts ready from the machine assembly line, put the guitar together and make it such a big deal...
Nameless luthiers make a work just as good, and for a fraction of the price... just check www.ranguitars.com, they are not actually nameless, but make kickass instruments

I played the Petrucci guitar a while ago and didn´t like it (the sound and how it plays) and it looks boring... I tried a Paul Gilbert model in the same store and it blows the petrucci away

i thought the petrucci played incredibly well myself... and sounded pretty damned good too... but, on the same note, it does not hold a candle to a properly setup PGM301.
