I will vouch for this: I don't like GWAR's music, but a GWAR show is definitely an experience everyone should have (especially if you are front row).

Now I agree here. I just saw Gwar about 6 weeks ago & I thought it was a really fucking fun show. Fake blood every where! I wasn't in the pit & I didn't know what to expect. I actually wore a somewhat decent shirt if I remember & I didn't want it to get stained, but if I would have been in rags I would have been down there. The music is horrible, sure, but there's worse music out there that people go off about all the time. Funny show though.

Anyone who says they won't go to see a band unless they really like the music is a tight ass & needs to loosen up & have fun. You only live once. You could give me Kylie Minogue tickets for free & I would go & try to bang some chicks while I got to check Kylie out on stage. You know there will be girls at that show without their boyfriend.

I disagree. I can't stand listening to even one of Kylie's songs, let alone a whole concert. It's pretty much like that for every band I dislike. Boring/annoying. I've got better things to do with my time, like seeing bands that I DO like

+1. For me, the whole point in spending money to go see a band is because I enjoy their music, not to stare at them or go just for the experience of being there. The music is the experience.

Don't always go to just for the music. Go if you have a free night & nothing better to do. Go if you want to meet new people. Besides, Kylie had a song that I liked & she was guilty pleasure of mine. I just used her as an example though.
