Symphony X's most kickass moment.

"I feel the blood flow through my veins
The life force shines on me again
Let the ritual begin
- you will pay for your sins

I am god, I am king of the land
The hour of judgement is at hand
Winds of revenges sweep through the sand
The mighty pharaoh lives again"

Almost forgot about this. The first time I heard it, I was lying in my bed listening to The Divine Wings of Tragedy for the first time, and Pharoah came on. When this part started, I turned my head and just layed their in awe at the awesomeness...

I would have to say... live disc, through the looking glass...

"She is not afraaaaaaiiiiiiiid" *insert romeo solo*
"Just let it fly!!!" *more romeo solo*

yeah. oh, and the end of dwot "Looking out on the blue skies...."

yeah......yeah. And i agree wtih manga-san. symphony x is one of the few bands that i actually turn my head and watch the stereo to make sure i am hearing right!

All the momements you are saying are totally awssome moments,

but mine is in Eyes of Medusa

"ENDLESS, TIMELESS FACELESS TERROR!!
TO THE ISLE OF DEADLY SHORES!!!
SITELESS, COUNTLESS, AGELESS TORTURE!!!
TO BEHOLD THE SITE
OF MEDUSA'S EYES !!!!!!!!!!!:rock::rock::rock::rock::rock::flame:

(Sorrey for the cap's, I feel like throwing a rock in to a window when i hear that - for some strange reason)

I must say this does it for me as well. Every time I hear it I feel like something's gonna explode. It's so fucking cathartic.
Dangerous.

From "The Odyssey", my favorite moment on the CD is on the title track where the song first starts to get heavy after the vocals with Pinnella's rising keyboards. Sick. AWESOME!!!:flame:

Pretty much for me was the whole "WICKED" song.. I had to listen to it a couple of times over and over again when I 1st got the CD!!
The words are just so Seductive?? lol..

lol, it's "RISE My Minions'! and Symphony X's best moments are when they are with the fans and live! Two of my friends and I hung with the entire band for more than an hour after one of their shows while everyone else watched blind gaurdien...you silly people lol. DWOT, Odyssey, Rediscovery, Sea of Lies, Church of the Machine, Smoke and Mirrors, Evolution, The Accolade's, Inferno, King of Terrors (for russells different singing voices during the song-evil and good), Egypt (even though the solos werent amazing), Masquerade (the new one) are all the greatest and most overall mastered songs in technique, mixing, and what not, in my opinion of course. Oh, and for people looking for another bitchen band with god (small g, heh) members, check out Adagio.

"Here i am at the crossing of the light i stand" or the solo from awakenings- that riff in the middle of it is amazing! oh and ehh....hello there :).

I can't name only one favourite.. But one of them is....

I waaalk... the road... ALOOOOOOOONE........

Last line of of Awakenings
That entire song is just so emotional.. Damn.. *sniffle*

Oh god, too many to choose. One of them has to be: (backing vocals in brackets)
"Stay, (staaaaay), like those before you, I condem you all, something something, metamorphasise!"

and also
"voice from the past, there goes the (flame?)
tale of all things yet to come
as it was once so shall be again,
modern day children of the sun"

anyway those are a couple of my vocal fav bits. I cant be arsed to describe instrumental sections lol

thanQ! btw I'm 16, will I be the only youngun there? Are there also any younger fans or only like 20/30 or something? Has anyone ever seen 'kids' at SyX's or (prog)metal concerts?

I'm only 15 dude! I'm a die-hard Rush fan, but I like anything with speed. Symphony X was EXACTLY THAT. I think I discovered them while browsing the Speed Metal genre list @ Audiogalaxy, so I download Evolution. I listened to how fast the bassist and guitarists played, and my jaw dropped; I was in complete awe ;]

Anyways, there's 2 parts in SX songs I just love...
One, the part in Sea of Lies at about 28 seconds to 33 seconds, where they just play superfast, ah, I always LOVED that part ;]

And the other part is the entire short 'The Sirens' part from the Odyssey.

Rock on folks!
