Your thoughts about S X albums

Friend, Do you call your self as a SymphonyX fan?

Boring song? what are you talking about?

TDWOT is the most progressive release of he band so far ok, and as far as i concern every SymphonyX album is a master piece, as i have said many times Kamelot, Adagio and Symphony are the greatest bands in this business.

About the live disc, mmm i dont understand your point of view, i mean, live songs are diferent so you need to analize them and listen to every song very well, i personally think TDWOT live version is much better than the studio one and Michael Pinella brings the atmosphere of studio.

I'm not a fan, but I surely like the band.
I just listened the song TDWoT straight and it really isn't a boring song. It still doesn't belong to the best songs of that album.

Hmmm. You HAVE listend to the live album, right? My friends agree with me that the live CD set was quite good. Some songs are even better since the band has gotten so much better. For example: Church of the Machine, Through the Looking Glass.

Yes, a live DVD would be great, but the live CD set is great.

I own the CD, but I rather listen to the studio versions. The studio tracks include all kind of "stuff" so much that it's impossible to bring out all that "stuff" live (you've got the point, don't you). Live video/dvd would had been much more interesting.
Fortunately next year I get the chance to see the band live.

Well, I'm not sure what to say here. Peopel are saying that DT and SX have nothing in common except that they're both metal bands, and others are calling TDWoT or TiO more progressive than V, and THEN saying that one cannot truly label prog.

I know that secong poster was a bit harsh, but that doesn't mean that he was off-base in his points.

I am also very confused at the first poster's dislike of V, and also at the tracks that he called his favorites.

For instance

TDG - favorite tracks (I'll go by track #) 2, 7, 4 (That's right, I think Dressed to Kill kicks the most ass on this CD)
TDWoT - 6, 3, and I'm not sure :)
TiO - 2, 1 and 7 are kinda tied
V - Shit, probably 13, 3, 10, and hellifiknowitallkicksass

For some reas
I agree with the production comments on the first 2, but still ...

I would call V the best, then DWoT and TiO, although I see those 2 as being *extremely* close, then TDG. Now I can be formally shot at for not having gotten the 1st one yet. I'm ashamed... :)

As for the live one, I heard part of it and the production of the guitar sounds were weak enough to seriously mess up the enjoyability of the album.

All of this, of course, is my opinion.
