I'm only 15 dude! I'm a die-hard Rush fan, but I like anything with speed. Symphony X was EXACTLY THAT. I think I discovered them while browsing the Speed Metal genre list @ Audiogalaxy, so I download Evolution. I listened to how fast the bassist and guitarists played, and my jaw dropped; I was in complete awe ;]

Anyways, there's 2 parts in SX songs I just love...
One, the part in Sea of Lies at about 28 seconds to 33 seconds, where they just play superfast, ah, I always LOVED that part ;]

And the other part is the entire short 'The Sirens' part from the Odyssey.

If you like speed in metal, you might like some of these power metal bands. Check out Rhapsody. There very fast, but I still don't like them. I think they're funny actually.

The fact that they have soo many kick-ass and beautiful moments means that they're great song-writers asswell.
