i recorded a band called Knife In Christ this weekend. i samples the drumkit as well after the drumsession was over. all new skins on the drums.

i used a Sennheiser E902 mic on the kick. new Evans Emad skin.
Sennheiser MD421 on Floor toms. no processing at all.

i could tell you guys that i used the Mackie ONYX preamps for this samples.

Shure SM57 on Snare Batterskin
Sennheiser E904 on bottom
Rack toms E904

Yeah, I stopped when we used them last time. I guess I just didn't like them when we used them on crappy toms, where the 57/M88 made them sound better, but on a well tuned tom it is a nice sound that i'd be willing to use.
