Germany's gotta be the über favourite along with Spain and Brazil. Not big on Italy's troup. No real lead player there to score important goals etc.
not quite sure why everybody says that... the German team is not really build and we have a couple of issues with the Goalkeepers and the defence Department... But still I think we could make it to the semis... maybee more... I see Spain as the Fav... not sure about brazil, they have as always a couple of great players that can change a game

Well it's not as strong as the super team since a lot of the leading players like Lahm, Frings, Klose etc. aren't as awesome. I still see Germany as a top 4 team though.

About Italy, you never know, who did expect them to win last time? They had null against USA I think, and it was so awful..
I didn't watch that much soccer in the last two or three years so i don't have a big idea about teams, i guess Italy has a pretty good team, Germany too.
I'm waiting to see what Algeria will do, sad that Tunisia and Turkey weren't qualified !

Italy don't really have that much in terms of attackers, mostly guys like Di Natale, Quagliarella etc. who are only good in Serie A. Not really in the big championships. I would've selected Totti or Del Piero who could lead and score important goals.

Nah, they've disregarded all the make or break attackers like Gilardino, Cassano, Totti, Del Piero and went for recent Serie A scorers instead. I dunno how that will work out, likely bad.

Spain must be regarded as favourites though. They have the best player in the world, Xavi + a handful of awesome midfielders AND David Villa. They're at least going to the semi finals.
