I tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. If you have the tempo track imported and then try to import another one it just doesn't work... is there a way around this?! I can't seem to figure this out

You can only import 1 tempo track per project, but you can import multiple MIDI files which have tempo info. Start a new project, import the tempo track, create MIDI track, insert MIDI event and a note, export MIDI file and import that into the project you want it to go into. You must make sure in Preferences that "Ignore Master Track Events On Merge" is un-checked and "Import to Left Locator" is checked under MIDI > MIDI File > MIDI Import Options. Then just set your left locator where you want to import the MIDI to and import the MIDI file. :)

Honestly, I can't even get the import MIDI function to bring tempos in all the time, especially if it was created with another DAW. In that case, I have to import MIDI but create a new project from it, then export that .smt file and import it into the old project. Lots of hoops, and my only big problem with a DAW I otherwise love.
