Quick guitar cover of TERROR's "keep your mouth shut". Basically this is the original mix (including the original guitars) with the sides almost muted (using Voxengo's MSED plugin) with the addition of my guitars hard-panned on each side (you can slightly still hear the original guitars).

Keep in mind the clip is sloppily played, and the left guitar has old strings.

Signal chain on both sides :

-> Schecter Hellraiser (left : C1-FR w. EMG81, right : Black Flame Ltd w. EMG81TW)
-> Little Labs Redeye 3D Phantom DI
-> TSE808 (clean boost ampsim)
-> HyBrit (marshall ampsim, poweramp included)
-> PI-FREE (Engl SE EL34 poweramp sim + marshall V30 miked w. SM57 sim + slight low-cut + slight post-eq + slight exciter)
-> Post-fx (HiCut EQ + Noisegate) in DAW

The only settings i changed from one side to another (considering the left guitar has super old strings, and the right guitar sounds bassier/muddier and less gainy) : TSE 808 tone, HyBrit input gain, HyBrit EQ (not sure about this one though...).
I tried to get a tone that sticks to the feel of the song and sound pleasant to me without being my ideal tone neither (i like less gain and super tight tones and tons of hi mids), but i guess i ended up somehow dialing it in "my way".
Guitars are a tad too loud for the "mix", on purpose.

With poweramp (Engl SE EL34) from the PI-FREE enabled (considering HyBrit has already a poweramp sim) :

With poweramp (Engl SE EL34) from the PI-FREE disabled (the only poweramp sim here being from HyBrit) :

The samples above were made using the "hi-quality" modes with both TSE 808 and HyBrit.
Using Low Quality (less realistic and accurate tone, less CPU hungry too) settings has a significant effect on tone (sounds like going from new strings to old strings : less bright and duller tone) :

Je veux bien vos avis :)

Tell me what to think of those tones.

EDIT : the difference in tone between the High Quality and Low Quality settings is even more significant while using the TSE X50 ampsim (peavey 5150 sim), not to mention you can enable/disable the TSE X50 power amp and change its tubes/bias, giving you a buckload of options in terms of power amp :
-no poweramp
- 2 poweramps in a row (5150 from TSE X50 (4 different poweramps available) then SE EL34 (or another poweramp) from PI-FREE)
- TSE X50 5150 poweramp alone (4 different poweramps available)
- PI-FREE poweramp alone (2 poweramps available, 2 modes (pentode/triode))

Not to mention the settings on each poweramp (resonance, presence, master volume...).
