You should be ok Isabel. Just try not to look arab.

It's funny you say that. At my job we employ a lot of people from India, last week I had to travel with one of them. There is so much profiling from people these days its just sad. Boarding the plane I was standing right behind my Indian coworker and the fucking looks people gave him were just offensive to say the least. Then when I sat down next to him and started talking about work stuff, 3/4 of the people around me started looking at me like I was a conspirator or something. I get to travel this week with him again, after this, it will be worse.

It's worse than all that, folks. Who mentioned overreacting? Give that person a kewpie doll.

If explosives come as liquids, we pretty much just need to get over ourselves and make some hard decisions about our safety and our freedoms. F*ck the Snapple Police -- y'all know what's coming: explosive implants. Yup, boobie bombs. If liquids can blow up, terrorists will eventually cross-dress. There is a limit to how much searching we can do, and there is no limit to the number of ways people can f*ck each other up.

Quick -- everyone run around in circles screaming like retards.

Why has no one acknowledged the awesomeness contained within this post?

shit. 2x shit and 3fucking times shit
If there will not be allowed any luggage to be taken with you in the plane that means i\'m fucking SCREWED, because i won\'t be able to take my guitar back with me to us in septemeber when i\'m flying, because of retarded terrorists, and paranoid homeland security people. If i check in my guitar, I risk to have it stolen, 2 i risk to have it fucked up beyond any recognition because people at northwestairlines/klm thorw shit around so hard while loading. And if i\'m lucky a 100kg bomb will be thrown on top of my guitar.
P.s. i don\'t have a guitar case, i have a guitar bagpack kinda shit that costs 10$ at guitar center.
in this rhythm soon we will all go naked on the plane.

Personally if we make all these sacrifices, the terrorists won. that is what they really want imho. They take away people freedom, because government is retarded.

WD, btw, nevermore is still in europe right? Have a nice trip back to seattle

Yeah right now everything is in a high state of security (read: anxiety), but the madness will most likely wear off rather soon as soon as police services uncover more about the terrorrist's plans.

As for the drastic measures, I'm sorry, people but if you were us, would you risk anything? I daresay giving up your bottle of cologne is a small price to pay to keep over a hundred passengers safe. And you Americans can rant about your precious freedom all you want, but if it were your family that blew up, you'd be the first to point the finger at the airports and airlines for not being stricter.

Fact of the matter is, with all your bitching, you're overlooking that the British police did a great job in thwarting an attempt that could have cost thousands of lives - your lives, to be precise.

Well, I have zero problem with hunting down and the kicking of ass of brainwashed cowards. I do have a problem with sensationalised media, though. News shows everywhere began with "MASS MURDER ON TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHTS...that might of happened, more at 10". Made me want to puke.

More bizarrely, these people know they could never win an all out war, so they resolve to making people fightened. I believe better paid, better trained and more attentive employees within airports is the solution, as opposed to banning anything that could, possibly, just maybe, "you never know" be used as an explosive. That being said, if they wish to make it against regulations to wear clothes on flights - incase of your jumper being a bomb - I'm all for it :)

Good! Glad to hear it!
yeah, but youre right man. people in america take the freedoms they have for granted and take advantage of them. i always say "be happy to be fortunate enough with what you have, because it can instantly be taken away from you within a split second"
