Hi All,

A couple of weeks ago I asked for advice from the board about what cd i should get. Most of the replies were to get Firewind - Allegiance. I got the cd and have listened to it for a little while now and WOW, it is an amazing cd. Glenn, you were right when you said it was everything I wanted. I love this monster of a disc. Besides the sample youtube clip on the board, i have never heard anything from them. That sample clip does not do them justice if you ask me. The production is top notch which is key in my book. I love the vocals. I am very surprised that this is the same singer that was in majestic. i love majestic, the 2nd disc that is and would not have known this was the same singer. The guitars blew me away. GUS G is quite the shredder. I love his style and he has plenty of crunch to keep me interested. This is a great disc and will not leave my player for a long time. I think this is going to be a great band live.

The new Firewind is one of my favorite albums of the year. Can't wait to see them at PP. Glad that you are enjoying the album.
 
good cd, not sure it is my favorite by them but I look forward to seeing them live playing material from it.

Agreed. The majority of power metal is extremly hit and miss with me and I haven't been able to get into Firewind. Enjoying a song here and there but the Tarot CD is heads and shoulders above Allegience for me.

On the other hand, really enjoying the 2nd album from Fairyland that came out recently :)

it's almost like every thread i read. there's a cryptic reference to Tarot.
i think it's great how the subject is one thing, you mention tarot, then all heads turn...i just think you're gettin paid off, that's all

Nonsense. None of us receive large stipends from Marco Hietala for hawking his music on forums. You should really go buy it though, all of it.

Naw. He had asked in another thread which of 3 albums he should make his fiance buy him after having lost a bet. They were Firewind - Allegience, Tarot - Crows Fly Black, & Heavenly - Dust to Dust.
He went with Firewind, obviously, so we're telling him he still needs to pick up Tarot.

Actually, the Jan 19th date is most likely only the European release date and I don't think there is an US date announced yet. CDInzane seems to have it for preorder though saying it's a Jan release but their price does look like it's the Euro import.

Nuclear Blast Europe just updated their Tarot page with samples of all of the songs from Crows Fly Black: Nuclear Blast samples link

Also here's a recent review of Crows Fly Black by Bravewords: Review link - personally though I wouldn't really mention Nightwish on a Tarot review for other reasons than having Marco aboard and for having lots of great keyboards all over the music.
