Iced Earth - Burnt Offerings (possibly the most evil sounding and anger/hate filled album I have ever heard. So much harder hitting than any death/black metal band, and awesome songs as well. KILLER guitar sound, great vocals, brilliant lyrics, killer album.)

Grave Digger - The Grave Digger (a very consistant heavy metal album, with no real weak songs, and lots of classics. Their older more conceptual power metal stuff is great, but this album is just a pure heavy metal album with great songs. 'The House', 'The Grave Digger', 'Silence', 'Spirits Of The Dead', 'Sacred Fire', ...all awesome.)

:headbang: Have you heard the remix/remaster of Burnt Offerings Blitzy? Its streets ahead of the original, the guitar is even heavier unbelieveably and it sounds freaking awesome :D Best. Guitar tone. Ever!

Im going to give the Gravedigger album another listen, I never really got into any of the songs except the awesomely good Silence :)

BTW did you get the reply to your PM? I think it my browser may have screwed it up?

Nope, no PM reply.

I agree about 'Burnt Offerings'. I used to think the original was killer, then I heard the remaster and was amazed, it sounds SO good! Indeed, the best guitar sound ever. :headbang:

'The Grave Digger' is an awesome album. The songs I mentioned are my favs, but the whole album is great. Go listen to 'The House' right now! :headbang:

In no particular order and with no justification for selection because I've just driven 900kms and can't be fucked:

Black Sabbath: Master of Reality
Iron Maiden: The Number of the Beast
Metallica: Master of Puppets
Megadeth: Rust in Peace
Judas Priest: Stained Class
Fear Factory: Demanufacture
Guns N Roses: Appetite for Destruction
Slayer: Reign in Blood
Morbid Angel: Blessed Are The Sick
AC/DC: Back in Black

I might attempt this one now... I'm guessing I'm not allowed to include Pearl Jam's "Ten", though, so I won't mention it.

In no particular order:

GNR - Appetite for Destruction
Metallica - Kill Em All
I. Ron Maiden - whichever one I'm in the mood for at the time
Black Sabbath - Heaven & Hell
In Flames - Whoracle
Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime
Skid Row - Slave to the Grind
Deep Purple - Machine Head
Def Leppard - Hysteria
Conception - Flow

Yeah, probably heaps I've forgotten.

1 Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
This album basically sums up my taste in music in it's entirety. Heavy, catchy, fun at times and overall just brilliant.

2 Testament - Low
Heavy as fuck, yet oddly commercial.. Me like. :)
Can't go past James Murphy on guitar either.

3 Nevermore - Dead Heart In A Dead World
Wow. :erk:

4 Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden, Piece Of Mind, Number Of The Beast, Seventh Son
Take your pick. :Spin:

5 Megadeth - So Far, So Good & Rust In Peace
Too hard to seperate, so why bother?

6 W,A,S,P - Your fav' WASP album
As long as you don't pick any of the last 3, I'll agree.

Others;
Yngwie Malmsteen - Facing The Animal
The only album where he finally got it all right.
Opeth - Blackwater Park
Grrahh
Pain Of Salvation - Remedy Lane
Excellent. Still don't like The Perfect Element anywhere near as much.
Motorhead - We Are Motorhead
So daamn cool.
Bruce Dickinson - The Chemical Wedding
Hmmm, Weedkilling stuf.
Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory
Probably their most 'complete' album.
Primal Fear - Black Sun
Helllford?
Iced Earth - Something Wicked
Blows me away with every listen, yet I can't get into any of the others.
BLAZE - Tenth Dimension
It's taken almost 12months, but I finally believe it tops Silicon Messiah.

'Less' heavy;
The Scream - The Scream
LA Guns - Waking The Dead
Dokken - Dysfunctional
Doro - Calling The Wild

All this means very little however, because Live After Death tops them all in every regard.

Oh aye, I forgot about "The Headless Children". That rocks too. Same with "Let It Scream", that rocks quite a bit as well, same with Spock's Beard's "V".

Fear Factory: Obselete, Demanufacture or Digimortal could have made it and I wouldnt have complained. But they didnt.

Let the debate begin :D

You actually like Fear Factory? I thought no one in this board likes them because they are the furthest thing from Maiden and other bands that the people around here tend to like. But way cool - I like them as well and you are one of few people I've seen who admits that Digimortal isn't a shitty album. Even many of the diehard FF fans have a problem with it. I personally think it's pretty good.

I don't have time to think of 10 albums right now, but I just thought I'd say that I'm glad there's someone else out there who likes Fear Factory and old school metal at the same time.

Fear Factory is great! The only album I dont like of theirs is the first one, all the rest are fanbloodytastic :headbang: Digimortal is a great album!

FF have always been a brilliant band IMO with the best albums being Demanufacture and Obsolete..they reached a peak there that they couldn't possibly top
as for more albums for a toop 10 list get fucked 'cause I couldn't be bothered :p

I'm quite a FF fan too. My favourite albums are the first two, and Digimortal is by far my least favourite!
