Chromatose said:phew. I was worried this was about that new THE BATMAN cartoon that was incredible the first time I saw it and from there on out it was pretty much not great at all. Opinions?
retarded penguin said:"The Batman" is how he is always referred to in the comics.
I kind of dig the show. But mainly because I just love seeing Batman in any medium. The show, technically, sucks. The villains, mostly. Very poorly done.
Chromatose said:yeah, well it was the first thing that came to me because I was watching the show again yesterday and it was severely lame, so I went over this conversation with myself and the opinions on the show at that time. It's still pretty fresh. I should rectify this situation by implanting Batman comics freshly in my brain.
I enjoy the animation style, but the scripting is lacking. And yes, the villains![]()
Chromatose said:All I currently have is HUSH and the issue where he's a swashbuckling pirate. I am accepting of anything else mandatory.

Almost any comic human will reccomend Year One, Long Halloween, and Dark Victory.
You can find that these stories inspired Batman Begins, and should continue to do so.
I can reccomend, or provide, specific issues.
For instance! I just recently read Death in the Family in its entirety. The first two chapters were boring and kind of lame, but the next three are DEVASTATING. THEN THEN THEN... there are the following three issues in Batman comics, and when they hit the third of those, just... off your feet and on your bum!
So, for those keeping count:
Batman 426-429 ::: Death in the Family
then, 430 and 431... both top notch issues
THEN 432... MIND BLOWING! BUM BUMPING!
