Mew's ''And the glass handed kites'' is an outstanding album, gorgeous, intelligent pop music.
Scott Walker's ''The Drift'' destroys too, scary as hell, a true genius.
Well they use some heavy power chords and intense drumming that is typical of metal, they aren't really metal but i wouldn't label them as hard rock either, more like Psychedelic heavy rock? lol
lol no Tool isn't prog...King crimson, Floyd, Rush and Camel are prog, they are prog-influenced but not ''prog'' at all, btw fuck that who cares, it is just a question of iyo and imo anyway
they are definitely progressive, no doubt about it. tool is the king crimson/pink floyd of our day son. look at us discussing genres without resorting to violence, how cute.
The Gathering's "Home" for me...I listened to it almost as much as I did to the great cold distance...oh and anneke is hot
I'd also say Amorphis- Eclipse but I don't know whether to classify the new amorphis as metal
It's the best of the year I think...When I opened this thread I was trying to say no metal at ALL by saying non-metal...Amorphis surely have metal songs in Eclipse...
