the best solution to connect external drives

What is the best solution for your experience to connect an external hard drive?
Firewire or Ethernet?
In my mac I have an Ethernet port (1/100/1000), and I'm curios to try to put my raptor in a ethernet case.
What do you think about that?

Well, strictly in theory, gigabit ethernet is faster. In reality, Firewire 800 is probably better as there's less overhead, but gigabit ethernet might edge out Firewire 400 or USB 2.0.

umm interesting, I put my hand in a case that have ethernet connection...1/100/1000, and with the possibilities to connect two hard drive in raid 0........
