The best way to record cabs?

So the last time i recorded i found that the guitars were a bit muddy and i was wondering if anyone knew of a good mic placement technique to get good sounds the mics i have available to use are:

Rode-NTA-2
Rode NT3
Rode NT4
Shure sm57
Shure sm58
AKG C1000S
AKG D112

any advice appreciated!

This is the bread and buttah of the board man! Just look around, people talk about it all the time.

Anyway, 90% of people are gonna say use sm57 slightly off the center of the cone. I'm one of them.
