The Chaos Path

From what I've read in interviews, the band has parted ways, but it didn't seem to be on bad terms, they just have other things they want to do apart. I think Garm made a comment along the lines of 'you never know what might happen, we may do something later on, but for now we aren't'. I'm sure there was a thread about it here.

This thread sounds like it may end in a poll being posted as for best track. It's hard to decide on 1 alone, as the progressiveness/avant-garde quality allows for such a variety.
I have to say Ad Astra hit me first on LMI, but I have subsequently come to love The Chaos Path as well....neither is better, they are just differnt expressions.
I could have said that my fav Arcturus track was Fall Of Man, but I feel I am wise enough to discern that it is a different style (it is my fav of that style though).
With TSM, I haven't had a proper 'listen' yet, but Star-crossed seemed to jump out at me first. We are all fortunate thoguht to enjoy the whole spectrum the album offers.

With respect to Limbonic Art, they are a GREAT band (the first atmospheric/black metal band I heard)...I have their first 2 albums, and although the second album (In Abhorrence Dementia) seems to have the same great advancing and powerful atmospheric compostitions, I would say I prefer the first album (Moon In The Scorpio)...In Mourning Mystique is classic.
You do have to be in a settled mood though...patience is rewarded immensely :)

Yeh that song is amazing... the singing style is damn cool, very emotive.

This Post-Black Metal stuff is cool, but a lot of bands are doing it now... I hope Traditional Black Metal doesn't disappear...

It's not really post black metal...it's not black metal at all.

The Chaos Path is the best song from LMI. But, Arcturus's best song ever would undoubtedly be For to an End Yet Again. That song is brilliant in every way imaginable. What an epic Journey indeed. I got into Arcturus thanks to posters on this bb, and The Sham Mirrors has become one the favorite albums I have ever heard in all my years as a metall listener. And Ive heard a lot. A truly amazing album.

I Totally agree !!! :)
